arrhhh.. tired.. selected over 1000... 1000 lehz... caoz.. dun play play lor.. its 1000�!! selected over 1000 particles todae.. whole dae select particles.. diaoz.. select until i pa jiao liaoz..
1000 lor.. select from the micrographs.. did 8 micrographs le.. still got one more to go.. ya lor.. sian.. e electron microscope still not okie yet.. haha.. 1000 particles.. think on mondae i can used the particles to do 3d imaging liaoz.. =)
yup.. while selecting the particles i was listening to my mp3s.. yup.. haha.. dunno wad i will do without my music.. think during the whole dae i like listen to jay chuo over dunno how many times le.. haha.. especially jian dan ai.. diaoz.. haha.. keep repeating the song.. as i select the particles i listened to the song.. before that i din listen to ne music i was like falling asleep lor.. diaoz.. i was like nodding my head awae.. reallie tiring lor.. it reallie chi diao alot of ur eye power.. lols..
haha.. think after all these selecting my eyes will be super trained to look for particles.. haha.. become particle selection expert.. lols.. erm.. diaoz.. =)

fri�!! todae's a fridae�!! wow.. tml dun haveta work.. yup.. its not a working day on sat n sun.. its e british wae.. not like sg.. sat still hav half dae.. yup.. newaes.. its Fri�!! haha.. gg shopping later after work.. hope the city centre is still open.. yup.. actuallie i shopped on the first dae wen i first arrived.. there's like so much to c n buy.. but the onlie thing is tt its all in pounds.. diaoz lor.. 3 times more dan our currency..
okie.. so fri.. yup.. like bu zi bu juia fri liaoz.. time passes so fast.. i think in no time 3 and a half months will be over soon.. er.. maybe ba.. maybe in e middle part i will miss home.. ya.. called home 2 times so far.. and another 1 my mom called.. but we stay in contact thru email almost everydae.. =)
hmm.. wen to view a house yesterdae.. cus we gotta find an accomadation after 12 of june.. we got no place to stay lor.. =( but the house we saw yesterdae was reallie cool.. very cosy.. its like a bungalow.. 2 stories.. with an attic.. very cool.. its like a maze in the house.. but its reallie nice n cosy.. yup.. the landlord will call me todae.. so hopefully we can get the accomadation settled.. =)
hmm.. the weather is like cold here.. in e morning there will be smoke comming out of ur mouth wen to talk.. haha.. ya.. but throughout the dae it will be like 15 degrees c.. quite cold sometimes.. but i'm getting used to it.. my room has a heater so its quite cosy wen i sleep.. =) haha.. actuallie it kinda reminds me of winter sonata.. ppls walking around in coats n some more stylo one dun wear la.. some even short sleves sia.. haha.. hmm.. wearing my framless spec n all.. reallie feel like e winter sonata.. onlie without snow... lols..

okie time to knock off again..
my eyes r like tired now.. selected like over 200 particles todae.. diaoz.. 200 lor.. 200 protein particles... can die can? lucky i wore specs todae.. if not think my eyes will even more tired..
guess i'm gonna be wearing my specs most of the time..

time to knock off.. =) did a couple of stuff todae.. hmm.. wen to look at some micrographs.. yup.. kinda exciting.. its like my first time using a electron microscope.. yup.. cool�!! but.. e high intensity cannot be switched on.. so gotta call in e engineer to fix.. diaoz.. hopefully tml i can get to look at e electron microscope.. =) the stuff here are all so high tech lor.. they hav everything.. cold room.. incubation room.. biohazard level 3 laminar hood.. everyhing.. some of which i also dunno wad it is.. i think there's still somemore equipments on the other levels...
haha.. even e pc i'm using nw is like a powerful com with a like huge screen... i think ard 21 inch monitor? flat screen too lor.. haha..
hmm.. scan some micrographs todae.. calculated the angstroms of the images.. and wrote down the defocus u,defocusv and azimuth values.. tml gotta show them to my supervisor.. yup.. my project is abt doin imaging of transmembrane protein.. to get the 3d shape photo of it.. its a relatively new protein which have not been imaged.. so the 3d structure is'nt known yet.. n tis protein is responsible for cystic fibrosis.. which is a genetic disease tt affects more than 75000 babies in UK alone.. 1 in 25 is a carrier of this disease unknowingly... so its quite useful...

*yawns* in e lab now.. ya loh.. its like 9.30 now.. i'm in e lab liaoz.. all the rest still haven arrived yet.. i'm like the first guy in e lab.. earlie bird.. haha.. sianz..
newaes.. before the rest arrives.. blog alittle first.. =) hmm... my lab has like ppls from different countries.. i'm working with a nigerian and a lebonese.. erm.. from nigeria n lybia.. erm.. nt sure how to spell lybia.. but its in the mediterian area... abt 3 hrs flight from manchester.. ya lor.. den the nigerian tok rite.. dun reallie catch wad he toking abt.. kili kulu kili kulu.. omg�!! shit.. i was like erm.. ya?? erm..yap yap.. erm.. beg ya pardon?? haha.. crap la.. hard to catch lor.. but tt was like in e begining stage lor.. now hai ke yi la.. still can communicate with him... erm.. e lebonese also same case lar.. tok with some slang.. but now i got abit used to it le.. so nt too bad.. its nice working with ppls from other countries.. can get to know abt other places too.. =)
ohya.. my supervisor is like the deputy head of department.. diaoz... n he is like a bz man... alwaes hav meetings n stuff.. so kinda hard for me to actuallie hav much contact with him.. its me n e nigerian n e lebonese.. lols.. =) feel like a mini united nation here.. lols..
oh.. the ppls are here.. gotta start work now..

i'm in the lab now.. yah.. its 5.10pm now.. i jus finished work.. but i'm still in the lab.. =) *hardworking leh�!! lols.. no lar.. its cus i wanna use the com here.. to check my email.. n read up some news on channelnewsasia to keep in touch with sg news.. *realised that the news papers here r all like abt britain? diaoz.. hard to find news abt singapore.. so onli wae is to log on to cna.. wanna log on to 933 website too de.. *kinda miss the radio.. but here no speaker.. =(
ya.. checked my email.. my parents emailed me and stuff.. so jus replied to their mail jus now.. emails r the onlie form of communcations for me now.. phone too but email is still the best.. cus of the time difference.. its like 7 hrs difference.. 5 pm in manchester will mean 12 midnight in sg.. so its like wen i finished work n.. ppls in sg will be getting ready for bed? ya lor.. sian diao..

=) safely landed in Manchester.. landed tis moring at ard 5plus am manchester time.. which is like 7 hrs difference from sg time.. its 4.11pm here now.. sg time now will be 11.20pm ba.. ya.. guess ppls in sg r like having their supper nw? mi still have yet to hav my dinner.. erm.. also dunno wad i will eat.. diaoz..i had like jus a whole chicken for lunch.. n tt like cost me 12bucks liaoz..
hmm.. its quite cold here.. the temperature is arrround 10-15 degrees celsius.. wow.. came out of the airport tt time talk still got smoke come out of my mouth one lor.. diaoz.. everywhere is like fog in the morning..
i think i will be gg back to my hostel soon.. i'm currently using tis com at another different hostel a few busstops awae from my place fallowfield.. kinda using it illegally cus i'm nt staying here.. luckily the security guard r nice to let us use the com here.. yup..
my place dun hav internet lor.. sianz... my room is like jus a bed n a table n a chair n a wardrobe.. a reallie old wardrobe.. reallie old lor.. my room doesen hav a toliet.. its all common toilet.. common kitchen.. oh the kitchen is like erm.. see liaoz also dun feel like cooking one lor.. diao...
haiz.. my view out of the window is jus bushes.. how chio rite? lols.. ya..
luckily mi onlie staying here for a month lor.. if nt ar.. sianz diaoz.. no internet lor.. how?? die ar.. my project dun need to send to zaman liaoz lor.. den tis com i'm using now onlie allows internet explorer... so i can onlie check my emails.. no msn.. no icq.. so tt means i cant chat.. =( so pls email me at simon_leong@hotmail.com.. tis mail gets full sometimes.. i have another new email.. yellowtennisball@gmail.com.. tis one has a reallie huge space for storing emails.. so can try sending to both to play safe.. ya.. hope i get to check my emails soon.. hope i can find some internet connection..
